U S G E N I T O U R I N A RY D I S E A S E 2 0 0 6 53 Radical prostatectomy (RP) is the most common treatment for organ/specimen-confined prostate cancer. The surgical techniques used to perform RP have been refined and improved over time to the extent that fewer than 10% of patients develop problems with urinary incontinence. However, most patients still experience erectile dysfunction (ED) following RP.
